THINKING AHEAD - "New Principles for Holding General Shareholders Meetings in Public Companies"
2009-07-16

The new rules for holding the general shareholders’ meeting of state-owned companies will be the subject of the next meeting of a panel of experts in the series of THINKING AHEAD meetings. The event will take place on Thursday, 16 July this year at 14.30 at the offices of the law firm Krawczyk & Partners.

Experts from state-owned companies will be discussing issues such as changes regarding the convening of the general shareholders’ meeting, new rules for sending notice of a forthcoming shareholders’ meeting, new rules concerning shareholders’ access to information about the company, the consequences in practice of creating a right to dispose of shares during a general shareholders’ meeting and the right to exercise the voting rights given by each share differently.

The meeting will be chaired by Andrzej Chrzanowski, Attorney-at-Law, Partner, and head of the corporate law practice group at Krawczyk & Partners, and Anna Zeliaś, associate in the firm’s financial law practice group.
